We were notified that for about five minutes, our auto-scaler did not scale quickly enough to handle a very severe burst of messages. Messages will not have been received during this time period for a portion of our US customers. The downtime was roughly from 18:14 to 18:19 UTC (1:14-1:19pm ET).
